Hi there!
I'm Jack Taylor, the founder of lyricl.io and a Software Developer.
If you're wondering why lyricl.io was created, why it remains free to use, and how you can help, you're in the right place.
I started lyricl.io after watching friends go through the same problems every time they wrote a song. I'd been through that process too, so I knew how artists can get slowed down by tasks that aren't human, like having to check syllables, create rhyme lists, and more.
There weren't many tools that I could find online, and those that did were just generators. They were rigid and didn't allow for much creativity, and they didn't understand your style. I also know many artists would never feel comfortable letting software write all of their lyrics anyway.
So, I created an app that lets artists leverage modern tech and keeps them in control. You're not a thesaurus, so why not let technology help you find the right words?
lyricl.io grew from that, and I kept designing and adding more features until it felt right.
I created lyricl.io to solve a problem and to ship a product end-to-end. Now that it's live, I want real artists to use it before I think about monetisation or paid add-ons. There is no training, advertising, or any other kind of monetisation on lyricl.io, though.
Please share lyricl.io with others! I'd love to get more users and hear how real artists are using lyricl.io to create songs. If you're an artist, I'd love to chat. Talk with me at jack@lyricl.io about what you love and what's missing.
